::homestudy update & i love my kid::

So, our homestudy is on its way to being officially updated.  We refiled some paperwork, had our fingerprinting done again (3rd time for this adoption!), and did a quick interview with our social worker.  The only significant change we made was to raise our age parameter a year.  We would now be able to receive a referral for a child (boy or girl) age 0-3, and this would also include a sibling group within those parameters.   We still have quite a wait in front of us, I think, but still...it feels good to be proactive when we can.  Lots of hurry up and wait in adoption.

While we continue to wait for a referral, it is good to be reminded of how blessed we are.

There's just nothing like watching a 4 year old superhero saving the backyard with his plastic dinosaur.

He has such a great imagination.  I love it.
We recently took a zoo trip with William's mom and sister. Isaiah was thrilled with all of the animals.  I love this age--excitement AND the ability to verbalize it.  Isaiah talks ninety to nothing these days, so there was a LOT to say at every zoo exhibit.  :)

Love him so.

Isaiah has recently expressed an interest in photography.
This is a sample from his portfolio.

I believe his favorite part of the trip, though, was the "hospital."
We call them hotels, but whatever.  Semantics.
All he knows is that they have Fruit Loops on tap and Playhouse Disney
on a TV that we could turn towards his bed.

There's even a gym where you can work off the Loops.
What's up Bob Harper!?
Fighting off diabetes and heart disease at 4.  Beat that.

We also spent some time at the Magic House.
Isaiah liked it okay.  :)
Sneak peak at our Christmas card pic:
Just a little dab here, and....oh yeah, that's perfection.
So, yeah, he fills our lives with laughter and fun.  I love watching him process and learn new things.  He reminds me that children are truly a blessing from the Lord.

I love how when you're kneeling, he's almost as tall as you :)
